  • :: About ::
Acne is one of the most common problems teenagers face...

why put up with acne? Caused by a range of factors including changing hormone levels, acne is most common in people with oily skin.

One study found over 30% of school students felt aggressive, frustrated or embarrassed about the condition 1. However, teenagers are not the only ones who can suffer from acne. Even adults, particularly up to the age of 40 can also be affected 2.

    What causes acne?

Acne is also known as pimples, spots and zits but the medical term for it is Acne Vulgaris. Acne tends to appear most often on your face, neck, chest and back. Whilst the cause of acne is unknown it is believed a variety of factors are involved:

    •  Hormonal increases during the teenage years
    •  Hormone changes during pregnancy
    •  Starting or stopping birth control pills
    •  Heredity
    •  Stress
    •  Some types of medication
    •  Make-up that contains oil

The Double Action Program called Acne No More attacks your acne from the inside and out so you get a much better result from your acne treatment.

Diet and nutrition are also major factors.

Poor nutrition and diet are being linked to acne. According to a study3 by the Colorado State University there is a substantial body of evidence that directly links diet as the most likely environmental factor underlying the development of acne.

A high-fat diet increases the amounts of oils in and on your skin4. It doesn’t take much oil on your skin to plug the pores and feed the bacteria which cause acne.

    How does acne develop?

Acne is caused when there is an excess of sebum production in your skin and the flow of this sebum to the skin surface. Acne typically strikes during puberty when androgens (male sex hormones present in females as well as males) kick in, increasing the size and activity of your skin’s sebaceous glands. These glands produce sebum, a waxy oily substance that keeps the skin waterproof 5. These sebaceous glands are attached to your hair follicles (pores which carry hair shafts). Acne occurs when hair, sebum and skin cells block the pores.

The blocked pores then become infected by bacteria, resulting in inflammation and pus - and before you know it, it’s a pimple. These bacteria thrive on sebum resulting in you developing acne.

So someone with acne may end up with one or more of the following skin complaints:

  •  Black Heads - A collection of dead cells in the pores of the skin.
  •  White Heads - Pimples (caused by sebum buildup) that stay under the surface of the skin.
  •  Papules - Formed when sebum has broken out into the layers beneath the surface of the skin forming small pink bumps that can be tender.
  •  Pustules - Red at the bottom and have pus on top which forms the classic looking pimple.
  •  Nodules - Large, painful, solid pimples that are deep in the skin.

It’s important to note that considerable evidence6, 7, 8 is available indicating that acne causing bacteria is building a resistance to traditional acne treatments like antimicrobial agents (antibiotics), not to mention some of the potential side effects listed in the table below.

So now is the time to consider a completely new approach to treating acne. Now there’s a new, easy to use treatment to help you clear up and control your acne.

Attack your acne from the inside and out.

Recently scientists at an Australian owned company 'Totally Natural Products' developed a new Double Action Program called Acne No More. Acne No More attacks your acne from the inside and out so you get a much better result from your acne treatment. The Acne No More Program includes two scientifically developed formulas; an Acne No More Supplement formula and a soothing topical Gel.

Both of these products are designed to be used together daily to help clear up and control stubborn acne.

    Acne No More Supplement:
One of the most important ways to treat acne is to treat the inflammation. The Acne No More supplement contains a special Patented Bioactive Protein called Praventin which reduces the redness, inflammation and blemishes associated with acne. Because acne is an inflammatory response by your skin, Acne No More supplement is your first line of defense against any infection and inflammation associated with acne. This is because Acne No More supplement enhances your body’s natural defenses against acne-causing bacteria. This action helps reduce redness associated with a poor complexion and promotes the repair of minor skin damage caused by acne.

The other nutrients in the formula have been specifically included to promote the healing of your skin. Silica helps maintain a healthy immune system and is used to improve your skin’s healing process. Silica has been traditionally used to accelerate the healing of acne and boils. Vitamin C and Zinc enhance immune function and may assist with wound healing. And as Acne No More has antioxidant, antiviral, antimicrobial and immune properties, it helps your skin’s immune response to inflammation.

    Acne No More Gel:
This topically applied gel contains a special ingredient called Cleargen® which targets pimple prone areas. Easily absorbed, this non greasy, water based Gel is gentle on your skin. It doesn’t dry out your skin or aggravate your skin’s sensitive pimple prone areas. Importantly, the Gel allows you to directly target your skin’s affected areas. The Acne No More Gel is gentle on your skin but hard on stubborn acne leaving you with healthy beautiful skin.

Both of these products have been packed in an all-in-one Acne No More Double Action Acne Clear Program. Scientifically and clinically formulated the Acne No More Double Action Acne Clear Program is a complete two step treatment which may help manage and control your acne. Your skin has the amazing capability to constantly heal and repair itself.

The Acne No More Program starts working immediately and offers an effective solution for your acne problems. Chase Barber.

"My skin was visibly clearer" After a couple of weeks my skin was visibly clearer. The redness I had dramatically decreased.
    Jacob Pucci.

Acne No More might be just what you need.

:: Here are some very practical ways to help you have beautiful, clear, healthy skin ::

  •  Do not squeeze, pinch or pick your pimples.
This can damage the lining of the pores and the sebum allowing bacteria to get into the skin around the pimple, causing more redness, swelling and pus. This will make your acne look worse and increase the risk of permanent scars. However, most people cannot resist trying to squeeze out pus or Blackheads. If you have to, make sure you have clean hands and only squeeze very gently. If the pus or blackhead does not come out easily, it’s not ready to come out at all.
  •  Keep your skin clean.
Gently wash your skin morning and night. Use a mild soap or cleanser rather than scrubs, which can further irritate skin that is already inflamed.
  •  Keep your hair clean and off your face.
  •  Use moisturiser, make-up and sunscreen products that are hypoallergenic and low in oil and alcohol.
  •  Stop putting your hands up to your face and try not to touch your acne, because germs on your fingers could make it worse.
  •  Research shows that increased stress can often be linked to new outbreaks or pimples or worsening acne. The main reason for this is that there are chemical reactions and changing hormone levels that occur in your body during times of stress. So a good idea is to try some relaxation and stress reduction techniques if you notice during times of stress your acne worsens.
  •  It’s a good idea to exercise daily to improve or maintain your overall well being. Exercise not only helps reduce stress, it boosts blood circulation, benefiting the skin and other organs. And when exercising wear loose fitting clothes
  •  Check with your Health Care Professional whether any medications you are on can worsen your acne. Certain oral contraceptive pills and contraceptive implants, for example, can worsen acne. Non-prescription drugs (either non-prescription medications or illicit drugs) such as anabolic steroids can also cause or worsen acne.
  •  Drink lots of water.
Water helps the body flush out toxins and transport nutrients to the body.
  •  Stay away from cigarette smoke because it can irritate your skin.
  •  Be careful with what you eat.
If you notice certain foods aggravate your acne then it’s best to limit or avoid these foods from your diet. Eating a properly balanced diet ensures your body gets the proper nutrients it needs and therefore promotes healthy skin. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. A high fibre, low-fat diet is excellent in promoting overall general health. And if you can’t avoid eating treat foods like ice-cream, chocolate and cakes limit them to once a week.
  •  Maintaining a healthy weight may help reduce the risk of developing acne and reduce its severity.
  •  Some studies10 have shown an improvement in skin condition with a high protein diet. Preliminary findings suggest that if individuals stick to a higher protein diet there is a probability that the severity of acne will be reduced at least in some individuals.
  •  If you shave, shave carefully!
Try both electric and safety razors to see which works best for you. With safety razors, only use a sharp blade. Also, it helps to soften your beard with a mild soap and water before putting on shaving cream. Shave lightly and only when you have to.

The Acne No More Program starts working immediately and offers an effective solution for your acne problems.
