Here is my own personal true story wrestling with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and how I found relief from the pain, discomfort, inconvenience & embarrassment. If you suffer from IBS you’ll find it easy to relate to my experiences. In the beginning my friends tolerated the strong odours when I passed wind, laughing and joking about the smell.

The passengers would rush to the other end of the plane leaving me alone in total shame not to mention the nightmare of being stuck between two people and having to take 5 trips to the bathroom. Passengers would be lining up to throw me out the window. Just the thought made me run for cover! It got to the stage where I hated going to work and I couldn’t relax at home. I didn’t even like to look at myself in the mirror. I had to buy loose clothing because of the size of my swollen and bloated abdomen. My huge, bulging stomach looked appalling.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome seemed to rule my life. What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?

The most common food offenders include wheat and corn cereals, dairy, coffee, tea, chocolate, citrus fruits, onions and potatoes. Eating a high fibre diet is recommended to help alleviate symptoms.
