Detox Recipes

Teriyaki Fish
Serves 4.

Ingredients:
500 grams chopped bream
1/2 cup wholemeal breadcrumbs
1/2 cup ground walnuts
3/4 cup water
1 cup minced onion
1/4 cup sliced olives
1 tsp lemon rind & 1 tbs grated ginger
1/2 cup chopped parsley & 1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp prepared mustard
2 tbs oil & 2 tbs miso
Teriyaki Sauce
1 cup miso
2 tsp grated ginger root
2 cloves garlic 1 tsp roasted sesame oil
1 tbs barley malt

Method:

Fish

  1. Combine all the ingredients and blend until creamy.
  2. Preheat oven to 190°C.
  3. Oil 15cm by 12cm by 5cm loaf pan, smooth into pan and cover and bake for 15 mins.
  4. Remove cover and bake until set and lightly browned.
  5. Remove from oven and cool before slicing.

Sauce

  1. Blend first 4 ingredients together.
  2. Place in saucepan and simmer 10 mins.
  3. Add barley malt and cook 5 minutes longer.
  4. Spoon over cut slices of fish
